Representative Hans Dunshee (D) has served the citizens of Snohomish County in the State Legislature for 16 years. He serves as the Chair on the House Capital Budget Committee.
This legislative session he authored the JOBS Act of 2010, which aims to benefit our schools, job creation, and the environment. The bill would help create over 30,000 jobs and save millions of dollars annually through reduced energy costs. This is done through retrofitting schools to become more energy efficient.
Hans is respected by all for his independence and straight forward approach. Dunshee is recognized as a fair negotiator with a solid track record of working with his Republican colleagues.
He is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for gardening, kayaking and biking. He is also a lifelong student of history.
Hans earned his bachelor degree at the University of Washington – while lettering in wrestling – and his masters from Western Washington University.
